longrifle sights

I have a custom longrifle,my problem is i,m having trouble seeing the sights,barrel & sights are brown,any sugestions

A simple way is fingernail polish. You can take the color you like or think you can see the best, and paint the back ramp of the front sight. I went and got model paint in florescent colors and painted my sights with that. If you decide you don't like it, most gun scrubbers or isopropyl alcohol will remove it.

Deepen and widen the rear notch, replace the front with a silver or brass blade, have a tang peep mounted, see the optometrist.....
