ALL of my rifle loads are dropped, then weighed, and trickled to the exact weight I am after. When I'm working up loads I even sort the bullets by weight, I want to control as many variables as I can.
When I loaded for my 22-250 and 220 Swift I did this to get the powder charges and bullets as close to identical as possible and both guns were the epitome of hyper accurate. I also did the same for my 7mag when loading for western hunts.
