I was wondering does anyone know if there is a torque spec is on the forearm screw of these weapons ? I ask because I have read that POI can be affected by how tight this screw is. I realize that this is a flat tip screwdriver headed screw and that it in of itself would indicate no torque spec is called for but I'm going to check with you all to be sure.

I permanently damaged a NON Pillar Bedded Synthetic Stock a few years ago by over Torquing it, and it only took about 35-40 inch pounds to do it.

I only use 40 in, pounds on my pillared stock/action screws but 60 on the cross ring bolts.

Just curious, where was that information gathered from?

Ok! I have extensive experience in screw torque for applications and torque specs in manufacturing processes.
Judging by the size of the screw I guessed 60 lbf*in.
Then looking at the torque tables for a 6mm screw grade 5 the recommended torque is 66 lbf*in +/- 9lbf*in

I think the 62 in lbs may be appropriate for the size of fastener but I'm concerned about it may be too much for this particular application. I think I'm going to stick with the snug then 1/4 turn. Repeatability is very important I think. Thx to all that responded!👍
Great find sir! That should do the trick nicely!

The Wheeler is made in China. The Vortex torch wrench is made by Capri tools in Taiwan. If you buy that model from Capri its over $120 with a few more accessories.

Look at the reviews for the Fixit Stick (also made in Taiwan). You can buy just the torque limiter at Midway

That Vortex is a very nice “inch pound” Torque Wrench, my Sport shop friend has one that he lets me Borrow when i need it.

I have a Wheeler Fat Wrench, it works good as well, But i like the Vortex Better

I got it mainly for scope mounting and because they have good customer service. Capri tool makes a fairly good product for the money but CS could be more problematic than Vortex.
