For the OP, I suggest taking advantage of end of season deals and buying a CVA Wolf, loose 777, 209 primer and projectiles.
Go shoot this basic inline ML a few sessions. That will give you a good idea if you like ML’ers with a very modest cost.
If you do, start researching smokeless.
Alternately, if money is not a concern, buy a smokeless custom or conversion and start with BH209 to learn the basics.
