Made a great 60yd shot while this guy was making a scrape. Dropped him like a ton of bricks. Using my Old Encore 209x50 backed by 77.2g’s by weight of BH209 and a 250g Barnes Spitfire T-EZ. 100%retention! 100% retained energy! Cut bullet out under hide of opposite shoulder. 1 kid down. 2 to go...

WOW what a buck!! Problem is it’s going to be tough for him to get a bigger one. 😁 But tell him EXCELLENT JOB and welcome to the Brother Hood!

Congratulations, very nice buck. many years ago I took my son for his very first rifle hunt in pa . I told him if you kill a buck with that gun it’s yours, he killed a buck and got a nice Remington 700 mountain in 260. I do believe that boy earned an encore, lol . congratulations

Way to go Dad. Great moment for both of you. Congrats to both, hopefully the young man is hooked.

That's a good way to start a hunting career.....until you try to top it. lol Nice deer. Congrats to him.
