T/C QLA and conicals

In my Omega .45 I can shoot saboted SST bullets very accurately with no problems. I like to shoot GG Conicals in my other guns but my Omega hates them,just spits them out sideways at 50 yds. Has anyone chopped off that nonsense on the barrel? Just wondering.

Your not alone!! I don't own anymore TC products because of the QLA. If it had been done correctly its not a bad idea overall, but we know different.

Jeff Fisk (Bestill) has cut and recrowned 3 Omegas for me. All look excellent . You may want to send Jeff a PM . In my humble opinion the TC Omega was one of the best muzzleloaders built for the money along with Knights wolverine. Just my opionion.
