Great scene! (Not a completely accurate depiction of the recoil of a 700 though I’d say!) I’ve shot quite a few big bores - 600 Nitro Express being the largest. Quite an experience!

I'd say you're correct. Didn't even shoulder that cannon. That would've been another tiara and pink dress moment for me.

Shouldering was wrong and the gun could have been an 8 bore. But, hey, it’s a movie.

Oh my. I've never seen that movie, only have see bits and pieces and I've never seen that bit. All was good, but that last second or two - Wow!

I really liked their whole series of movies and the TV series too. Those are great fun to watch movies if you leave out the authenticity stuff and just go with it.

Yeah the rec room scene was great. I loved it. The monster picked the wrong rec room to break into.

I think they had six sequels to the first movie. Plus a TV series for one season too.

They will have to come up with creative writing if the make a seventh sequel as based on what happened with Burt Gummer the sixth movie. But then they could do a reboot and start over too.

None of them had any recoil at all until they got to the double rifle. At least they attempted to show the double's power. Still an entertaining goofy movie.
