Well, I have my 50cal CVA Mountain Pistol but the problem is, I rarely ever cast .490 balls because I don't use it that often. I'm thinking about widening the barrel channel and then buying a .58cal barrel, cutting it down and putting that in place so I'll have matching caliber rifle and pistol. Hell, I can hunt with that pistol in New Mexico to!

You can use it the way it is on small game here. Trying to hit a running rabbit is quite a challenge.

I got my Hawken shotgun for that Pete. I didn't get squat in Colorado this year for tags but Grouse season runs with my dads Cow elk hunt! Be nice to relax and enjoy the grouse hunt once more. Especially with that 12g BP Hawken.

Leave the pistol as-is.  If you're gonna do some inletting, you'd be better off putting the larger cal. barrel in a new chunk of wood to make an entirely new pistol.
