I am wanting a new rifle.

thinking about an ar15 (5.56/223) which I found one for $600 or an sks (had one in the past but ended up selling it to funding an gun build and hunting for that year) $300 to $500. not planning on buying one till mid next year. I am kinda leaning to the ar, simply easier to mod. can buy different uppers (hope it is with the one I am looking at)

Most every SKS I've seen were rough Chinese communist guns and wouldn't shoot accurately.

I vote for the AR.  A great rifle, lots of modications and even caliber swaps with ease.  Plus they're just fun!

I would do the AR also, they are priced good now and ammo is plentiful again. The SKS I used to have was a Chicom and it shot well, but it is what it is, the AR can accept many mods should you choose to do so
