Is H4198 a home remedy for herpes or something? I don't get it.
They aren't making it under the Hogdgen label any more, I'm pretty sure. Just the IMR4198. Some folks want the H4198 , I've never used the H, just the IMR so i don't know what the difference is. Supposed to be the same. Although the old steel can H4198 was reportedly higher power. Still, $400+ is insane for a pound of powder that doesn't have gold or platinum in it. Even bh209 never went that high.
 
From what I am being told, they are still producing H4198, but it is used in numerous factory loads. So much that they have only had limited sales to us on their website very rarely.
 
I bought 8lbs of Reloder 7 and worked up a load for my 444 Marlin just in case H4198 is not available to reloaders again.
I already use R7 for my 375win. I have 7lbs left. This is what I'll be using for my SML.
