If i understand correctly, one would cut the nose of the sleeve shorter until the desired crush using one's desired primer is achieved in one's rifle? Then one would install the sleeve, using the plug, and have the plug loose enough to unscrew from the sleeve, leaving the sleeve in the rifle? Then one would drip the green loctite into the threads between the sleeve, and the barrel? Wait 24 hour, then commence shooting the rifle?

Kinda like that.

Step one.
I blue loctite 2 pieces together then machine face of both pieces at same time to obtain proper headspace.
Step two
Heat and separate 2 pcs.and clean
Step three
Lube i.d. of sleeve and breech plug
Put red or green loctite on o.d. of sleeve and in barrel thread and install 2pc system let setup then breech plug will come out leaving sleeve in place.

Done ready to wrap plug with teflon tape and light oil on tape and install plug.

Tape doesn't seal anything just makes easier removal and clean up

Well I guess my Mountaineer will be headed back to you Jeff
