Personally I think the Paramount's are going to be more accurate it around 85 or 90 grains by weight than they are with the full loads,,, I know for marketing purposes CVA is advertising the high velocity achievement, I do not have a chronograph setup, and I probably won't ,I'm first and foremost about accuracy I can learn my bullets trajectory and put it anywhere I want to put it that's ,,practical,,I do know this anyone shooting those guns that's not used to that kind of recoil is going to struggle shooting them,,without a brake,, I've had two Remington ultimate muzzleloaders they didn't make it in the accuracy department pull both barrels off and put Arrowhead remage barrel nut barrels on them, they are one hole smokeless guns now,as far as out-of-the-box accuracy and quality I would rather have this Paramount than four or five of those Remington ultimate muzzleloader, I hope cva builds off the success of the original Paramount, I do believe they built their bore and barrels dimensions around that bullet, if I was CVA I would offer a Paramount in a 1 in 20 twist with bore dimensions closer to a Brux or a Krieger barrel, however having said that if you got to Paramount get a bullet die and play with other bullets,I had to back my die to practically nothing yesterday all I was doing was barely kissing those bullets in my sizer,, I have a 450-457 Wilson barrel that Luke built for me I shoot it on a Remington short action smokeless it will not shoot Pittman's or Arrowhead bullets very

well but it really loves the furys, I'm finding the initial same results in this Paramount bore,,again I'm not looking at it exact bore dimensions I'm just going by the results I see on the surface and down range.. I'm a Paramount fan I'm going to keep learning about the gun

Thanks for your updates. I will be buying a Paramount Pro when they are released in April. I will be hunting deer and elk and am looking for your recommendation on whether I should buy the .45 or .50 caliber. Also what bullet would you recommend besides the CVA Powerbilt. Thanks Stan

Good morning I'm going to have to have one of those in 50 cal also, plus I like that stock a much better that the fifties come with, I am a fan of 50 cal ,, 45,, there's such a great bullet selection here in America for 452 and 451 bullets I'll just say right up front that I lean much more toward the 45,, I'm a fanatic obsessive deer Hunter and hog Hunter so terminal bullet performance once it hits that animal it is critical but and this is a big butt I want bullets that go in the same hole, again has you really educate yourself on performance bullets and accurate bullets that are out there the 45 Cal offers you much more,, a heavy 45 Cal is going to give you more sectional density than a 50 cal, higher BC,, but I'm talkin about land riders s,bullets you may not have that in mind,if I was going to shoot a sabot bullet combination I would probably take a hard look at the 50 which of course lets me shoot all those 45 bullets I'm ranting about and lets me size bullets also , yes I have a muzzleloader obsession y'all have a good week

I'll be shooting the Paramount for the next 3 months every weekend and sometimes during the week, very good success this weekend with the 250 and a 275 fury , evidently there's a love-hate thing going on with that bullet with a lot of people,, I do hope to get one of the higher BC bullets shooting as accurately ,
I will be shooting nothing but premium or premium type bullets, I do plink a little with cheap bullet sometimes,, if they shoot a hole
love to see it at Friendship

You know what I'm thinking about that I'm a single old man I'm not retired I still work let me get comfortable with this gun and the right load and I just might go to that match I don't know anything about it though. if it's open sites if it's Scopes I have no idea I'll go online and educate myself a little more about that or maybe you can tell me moreI am blessed living in a place where I can shoot anytime I want and my bench is 10 yards out of my back door so I'm going to consider what you said

That sounds like fun,, I'll try to leave the smokeless and the cheap cva Acuras alone for the next couple of months and just shoot that Paramount, let me see where I am around mid April with the gun,, still a lot of experimenting to do

Took Bushnell junk amatic scope off the Paramount and put a nice sightron Target scope on it talk to mr Parker ordered some bullets for trial,,those group shot this weekend was shot with a very poor glass with thick crosshairs I think the sightron will help a lot

That's great monkey, I just talked to Bob Parker yesterday too. I have 250gr BE, 275gr BE, 275gr Black Max, 270gr Match/Hunter E Max, & 310gr Black Max hollow base that will be here by end of wk. My new chrony will be here by end of wk too. I want to shoot faster ( over 2400fps ) flatter shooting, hard hitting up close & at long range bullets at max loads in my Paramount. So the muzzle brake is gonna be a must for me anyway. I'm getting a 3 port self timing brake blank only from Jeff Hankins. It's short ( under 2" ) tactical side ports & it's 100% completely round ( no flat areas for wrench's etc) so it looks like it belongs on the barrel. But now I have to find a gunsmith to finish it & thread my barrel, then find somewhere to ship it for the black nitride finish on it. Whatta freakin PITA! But I'm doin it regardless.
I'm most likely not going to test these new bullets until I get the brake installed. Kind regards & keep up the great work.

I've got one of Jeffs self timeing tactical brakes on a remage barrel I got from him it's my favorite break,, if I didn't have my remage barrel muzzle brake rifles I would go ahead and muzzle brake the Paramount I think for now I'm just going to keep shooting without it but eventually the break is coming,I think Mr parkers ballistic extremes going to do well in the Paramount they have more bearing surface like the furys ,I really like Jeff's funnel slipping down into the break and how he's opened it up you can slip your bullets down through the funnel,, it looks groovy to

I should have shot Parker bullets and all my guns a long time ago I just had so much success with Pittman's that I haven't ventured away from them,, I think I've shot every bullet available to the public except for real heavy bullets I see people shooting 350 and 400 and 500 grain bullets and some of their 45 I just don't have enough body frame for that,,very first half inch groups I shot with my old Remington ultimate muzzleloader was with Kyle Pittman's 275 I've stuck with his bullets since then the 300 gr aeromax is probably the most accurate bullet I've ever shot,,, man that's a bold statement has been for me in 20 twist brux barrels

Back when I had my 50 cal, I used to shoot the Thor hollow back B2B bullets. They worked real well with moderate charges of BH209 and I didnt have to size them. You could pro order within 1 thou of your barrel dimensions and the hollow base was slightly oversized so it was a snug but easy load. Parker makes a few of these hollow back options which allows the formed "skirt" on the bottom of the bullet to expand a bit to seal faster on ignition. I would expect they would work really well with our Paramounts running a bit hotter loads. I wish he made the Black Max 275 in the HB option. It looks like he only offers the 310 in HB at the moment. He does make the Match Hunter in a 275 HB. That one might be interesting. I really hope we can find a few options that work well without the use of wads etc. Its one less thing to fiddle with when you are out in the field. I like the idea of keeping it simple, powder, projectile, primer, PEWW!!

Interested to know which Chrony you chose. I have a magneto speed that seems to work really well, but the powder/carbon discharge from the muzzle blast is starting to chew it up a bit.

Hey Brad7348; thanks for your post. The Chrony I bought is Caldwell Ballistic Precision Premium kit -136.93 on Amazon. It's like damn near everything else nowadays made in freakin china, but I'll see how it performs once the blasting starts. One thing that attracted me to this particular chrony is it has no display screen. It has a 25' cord that plugs into my smart phone & it works with the Caldwell Ballistics APP. Now I'm little more than a neo neandertal but even I have a smart phone. I'll post my testing results on the brake I end up with, the 5 types & 3 weights of Parker bullets I can't wait to test especially the 270 E max & 310 match/hunter hollow base & I'll post how this chrony & app work in the field/range after I get the brake on. I'm still workin diligently to get a muzzle brake that I like & get my Paramount barrel threaded. I finally found a gunsmith in Jacksonville Fl. That can do it & finish out a muzzle brake blank & then black nitride it. 150.00 for barrel threading including indexing a non self timing 3 side port tactical brake, 125.00 to complete brake & 35.00 to turn it black. Kind regards

I finally got my Parker bullets too I'll be shooting in the Paramount Saturday, if the weather lets me
Awesome Mtn monkey, Bob is a great guy to talk to & do business with. I told him what I was planning on with his bullets & that I'll be posting all my testing data from his bullets in the Paramount at max loads with a brake in the MML group for the Paramount thread which has really grown here. He was pleased & thanked me for choosing his bullets & contributing the data to this group. He hooked me up no charge with 25- 250gr BE ( blems ) he sized all 5 types of bullets I chose to test at .4525 & no charge for the resizing any of them. I'm so happy to see this MML group as a whole & the Paramount group growing like this, is icing on the cake & be a small part of it & perhaps contribute to opening up some new doors & data for other Paramount shooters that want something besides the ELR's ( not that I've found a darn thing to complain about as of yet with them) & guys just like me over the last year or so that wants a new LRML in .45 but not sure what to buy & doing their due diligence research. That was me not so long ago & this MML group & the Paramount thread & the great bunch of guys in it that helped me decide on my new ML. I'm super grateful for that & very excited to step out of the norm for myself & expand my shooting experience with this gun & its capabilities. I also discovered that I'm in a whole new really cool, fun, fascinating world now, way out of my element & I have way more to learn than I have the knowledge & experience to teach in here even after over 50 yrs of shooting & hunting exp. Humbling, super cool, & really appreciated.
I have 3 trees to remove in my new 300yd shooting range I'm setting up on the folks back end of their 20 acres. Then just a few passes with the bush hog & 3 target frames to build ( no big deal at all ) & I'll get back into shooting & sharing relevant data with the class. Looking forward to your posts & data, kind regards
