I would agree with you I think they might struggle a little bit at blackhorn muzzleloader speeds at the two and three hundred yard plus range, I was able to keep the 250 fury on my palm at 250 yards with my little CVA mountain rifle this winter and 50 cal with a sabot, for now I consider my accuracy work with the Paramount to be more hunting focused rather than Target focused, but I won't hunt with a rifle that won't shoot a hole so my standards in the end are going to be high, I think if I was going to go to a match I would rather have a 20 twist and a 300 grain pitman if I was going long with blackhorn just for me my own personal experience that's where I would head I'm fixing to take a really accurate smokeless muzzleloader of mine and start shooting blackhorn and 300 grain Pittman's right now I'm focused on this Paramount

I have a bench full of Pittman 300 and 275's. I've sent a few but only at 100 and at that distance, any of the Fury will easily match them. I have not had the chance to shoot them to 500 and won't until the snow is gone and range roads dried out. Maybe by the end of April.
It'll be interesting how the prototype shoots at distance, since it geared more towards the Paramount.

I can shoot out to 600 yards behind the house here so if I get a chance to next few weeks at least within the next month and get some more bullets I'll take them on out to at least 300 yards if it won't group at 300 there's no point in going any further,I've shot my smokeless out past 300 but I haven't shot blackhorn at 300 so that'll be fun for me, them fury bullets might surprise you at 300 I hope they surprised me

I've shot the Fury at 500. No surprise. However, it also seemed that both times at the club, the 600yd range started filling up. I was shooting with the brake, and when a dad with a couple youngsters took the bench beside me, my shooting was over. Even though he said to continue and that the brake wouldn't bother them, trust me, I knew different.
I used the software to adjust to 500, which was low and right with two, but tight. I made an adjustment and loaded when they sat stuff on the bench next to me. I asked to send the third round before they sat down, then would pull the target and call it a day. I needed another .5moa L and more time.
I have piles of Fury bullets ;)

Where are you shooting blackhorn or smokeless ?

Here's another target...… AND...…. again, the range started filling up..... ON A WEEK DAY! Highly unusual for the 600yd range.
Because the range is small, with only 4 benches which are close together, if it fills up, especially with someone with kids, I stop shooting because of using the brake.
Another reason I shy away when others are around, is because of conversation, which always starts when others see me loading a muzzleloader and shooting targets at long range. I don't mind the conversation, or explaining how modern inline rifles operate. However, being disturbed while loading is not a good thing.

It would be very hard for me to relax with a muzzleloader at a public shooting range, too me muzzloaders are very much a rifle of solitude, I understand that most of us do not have a private place to shoot, muzzleloaders are the meditative ,mental rifles of the shooting sports to me, and if they're not you might blow your gun up

Shooting some of Dennis at fury bullets prototype 265 gr 453,,shot one group yesterday that was okay with 84 grains i loaded 83 Gr right before dark tonight pretty heavy wind left to right about 15 miles an hour,, no wad just sitting the bullet on the powder and going bang,,, I'm liking what I see more work to do,,5 shots 102 yds
Hey this is super promising!!

Yes it really is. I got some Fury prototype 265gr startip .453 this mornin. I have a 5 Port Beast brake in Titanium 3/4x24 OD 1.01 L-3.11 W-3.2oz. chamfered to my barrel dia & bored to fit Arrowhead Load thru funnel from Nathan at Muzzleloaders and more on the way. As soon as that gets here, I'm off to get my barrel threaded & the new brake timed. Then I'll start puttin more lead downrange. I'll be able to get out past 300 without going anywhere. I shot some a cpl days ago & completely forgot about taking my new chrony out & settin it up. I'm not use to having one & as excited as I am to now after 50 yrs of shooting finally have one, I don't even remotely think about USING IT when I grabbed my gear. Next time right... I'll keep posted results as I shoot. Kind regards

Can you hear that train coming,, what train?,, It's the 265gr 453 fury arriving from Michigan on time,, yes I'll still shoot the blue spaceships too,, thanks for the heads up

LOL Oh Yes Sir I hear it. I'm on it. I have some 265gr Fury's on the way. Dennis called me the same afternoon I placed my order to tell me I was getting 2 boxes of bullets. He has mistakenly sent off to me some 250gr then realized the mistake & sent me the 265's I ordered. I asked if he would like me to return them to him when they arrive, He said no, enjoy them, shoot'em up. Super cool huh. My new muzzle brake should be back to the guy that made it by Sat. from ceracoat so I should have it by the end of next wk. I only hope the guy in Jacksonville thats threading my barrel & timing the brake will be able to squeeze me in one day so I don't have a 6-8wk wait bc he's backed up with work. I have a much better bench rest on the way too. Kind regards

I shot the Paramount at 300 yards yesterday evening had a pretty good wind left to right,, 83.5 grains of blackhorn by weight, drop down to my 6 reticle cross, the Paramount is a 300 yard rifle we'll see about more, this is a 265 fury 453 prototype

This is seven shots,, the six shots to the right of the target was my group, the shot that's on the black was the last bullet I held about 1 foot of wind to see if I could hit it,if you take the set of calipers and measure from the top bullets down to the bullets on the right side it's also about 2.7

Thank you I,think if I went with a little bit more powder I could shoot a little better group just trying to stay in that 84 grain area it's much more suitable for my body
