I have a CVA Wolf and wasn’t crazy about the one piece mount/rings that came with the rifle. I use EGW picatinny rails on the rest of my rifles and thought I’d give one a try on the Wolf.
In order to get the eye relief I wanted I mounted the rail in the reverse position. That gave me the eye relief I wanted and a more centered scope in the rings. I did have to remove a little of the pic rail but was easy using a metal cutting miter saw. I also took some aluminum black and used it on the cut end.
Turned out pretty good.

With everything mounted and after finding a good load I figured I’d see how accurate it was at farther than 100 yards. My Burris Ballistic reticle shows impacts out to 240 yards and that’s where i set up my bench and sandbags.
1 shot, 240 yards, 100grs. of loose T7, .430 XTP, yellow crush rib sabot.

Took a break from chasing four Boone and Crockett deer that live around me they're driving me crazy ,,did a little bit of shooting this is four shots at 100 yards 200 SST 40 cal in the light blue 57 grains of 4198 imr. Three in one hole and one just to the side the backer board on my target was not leaving a clean hole it's actually a much better group than it looks. ,,, the rifle is a Woodman Omega with a McGowan 18 shallow Groove it's fun to shoot groups like this with Factory bullets and once again the Woodman Omega shoots just about everything I have fed it

I noticed the interesting Thread about the future of inline muzzleloading just my place in the process I am addicted to inline muzzle loading for one reason above all others and that is consistent absolute accuracy in many many rifles I believe that the potential accuracy of inline rifles and in particular smokeless capable rifles has the greatest appeal for future shooters I'm sorry but it still is an only accurate rifles, world ,for me. If I had not discovered the accuracy I would have left a long time ago, nothing about the nostalgia of shooting Daniel Boone's rifle means anything to me no offense to those that it does appeal to

Thank you I shot that group off of bipod instead of the front rest my front rest is for a two and a half to 3 in 4 in a bipod helped a lot I think I'm going to start shooting my omegas on the Harris bipod in the rear bag

Well that certainly worked very well for you there. Thats one thing that I've never done is have or use a bipod on any of my guns. I don't even ever remember shooting someone elses gun with a bipod before. I would like to try that myself.

I think my ego likes it better I can almost hear the Hawaii Five-O music in the distance but just in low volume
Hey bro, I wasn't gonna ask ya if you put on your Don Ho shirt & some Bermuda shorts with flipflops to work on that stock..... I just thought it safe to assume that ya did.

I tried to find a recoil pad big enough to fit the stock and I gave it up what few there are weren't available I used to use some wood butt pads on some of my benchrest stocks I figured what the heck I think when it's all said and done it's going to look okay I'll post some pictures hopefully it looks much different than what it does now but it doesn't look like a Muzzleloader stock does it

You have very good taste brother & I like that the stock is not something we see a thousand of every day. I have no doubt that it will be beautiful & impressive when you’re done.

made a haversack my way with a little late 1760ato 1828 style with 19 century twistView attachment 38903
I'm not sure what the heck one would ever need something like that nowadays, maybe some sort of Re-Enactment thing? But it's cool to still see those kind of skills being utilized today. Nice work, & Bonus points for even thinking to include the can/bottle opener. Ya never know whan you're gonna want to sit down & break out some potted meat & crackers & a good beer.

And here I thought that get-up was for going to the grocery store. Or a trip to Walmart. Or a walk in the park.
