Dean,

Thanks for the inquiry. We will be releasing a breech plug for the Mountaineer/Ultralight within two months. We will be expanding the muzzleloader line with some very innovative products throughout 2019.

Thanks,
Dave

Went ahead and shot them a email just now hopefully they answer shortly maybe by Monday.

Also good to see that you can get the 2 parts separately.

Thats gunna come in handy for guys that already have a bare primer bolt and just need a better plug or for guys going the Bestill route and just need the NFPJ adapter. Its a win win for everyone.

Personally i really like the NFPJ adapters but i would love to have a Lehigh made FPJ bolt body too. The satin SS look is more appealing than the old chromed bolt body IMO.

Got my breech plug and liners when they first came out and have never looked back, love em. Think I will get a couple of the bare primer adapter's as I have almost lost mine a couple of times.

Same here. I lost one too when they first came out. Dave sent me a free one with a bullet order. I asked to buy one and he sent it with my order.

Ive got a prototype 1 piece rail he made and never sold. Sure hope he makes them and uses all the screw holes AND extends the rail forward a tiny bit too.

These would be really cool

This is great news. I have been having trouble with BH ignition and was looking into drilling my plug. Now I can already buy one as well as the ventliners. Awesome.

I just received a disc extreme from the Christmas sale at Knight, does this mean i just have to order the NFPJ adapter from Lehigh along with the breechplug and ventliners to go NFPJ? Seems a lot cheaper and better quality than ordering a new bolt from Knight.
Thanks
John

That is exactly what it means. You will just need the new plug, adapter, and ventliners. The great part of that you can just replace the ventliners instead of replacing the whole plug.

Personally i prefer the adapters that fit in the FPJ bolt vs the NFPJ bolt. It does not look quite as nice but it functions great and its cheaper than the Knight bare primer conversion.

Man this is fantastic news! IMO, that setup is much better than buying the bolt. Thanks sabotloader :D
Never fails, couple months back I bought the whole setup from knight.
Did order a breach plug thought..

Everyone should try standard Win209s first too. I converted several rifles and never had a failure to ignite BH209 with a standard Win209 in a Lehigh plug. If you want to try other primer i suggest you test them for a crush first. If you dont get any crush you will have some blowby and possibly sticky primers.

Measure 3 primers and average them out...preferably primers that are really close in size
Insert the new primer and cycle the action...DONT fire them
Measure all 3 again and see if you got at least a .003 crush.

If you get around .005-.006 crush on a Win209 you might get a slight crush on a Fed209A too.

I agree ! may not look as finished but works excellent . drop pimers in and primers fall out .

Thats been my experience too. All i ever used was a Win209 also except for testing. My new Bestill plug i had head spaced a tiny bit tighter so i could also shoot a Fed209A. The Feds would stick occasionally in the adapter. They would pop right out if i dry fired it again though. The primer anvil was backing out slightly and the firing pin was enough to push it back in.

I may order a few when I get home in a day or two. Over the years I gave a few away. My Elites don’t feel right without the Lehigh plug installed. I have several, but could use some spare plugs.

All of my Knight rifles have been converted over to this system . I use Jeffs (Bestills) new breach plug system with Knights FPJ bolt. That combination makes a Knight rifle as user friendly as any custom rifle. Someone that just hunts the standard breech plug and bolt is fine . Someone like myself that shoots a lot with high end loads . Jeffs (Bestill) plug system with Lehighs adapter for Knights FPJ bolt is a very very user friendly set up.
