    Elk bullet 400? 450?

It's been a few years back when I shot my first cow elk with my TC Hawken 50. Best I remember it was 40 yards using an old Buffalo Ballet that weighed 245 grains. Last couple years I revived my elk hunts to ML from archery due to shoulder problems. I been casting my own 445 gr lead conicals...

Peep sight for Pedersoli Missouri River Hawken?

I have a Pedersoli Missouri River Hawken and was looking into mounting a vernier type peep on the tang. I was hoping to find a shorter version maybe 2 inches. Most I see are 4 inches. Anyone got any ideas? Other peep options besides this out there for this rifle?

I have read here or another forum...

I currently have a CVA Accura PR 27" Thumbhole stock 50 cal. I have only had it a few weeks. I am mainly shooting 435 to 450 lead conicals. I have an old Knight Wolverine that I bought years ago. The gun seemed to be well made even with the plastic type stock. As far as the Knight Mountaineer...

    Knight mountaineer breech plug question

What is involved in switching out the breech plug that uses the plastic red jacket to the bare 209 version? If it is just a matter of buying one and replacing it where can you get it? Also, I read that the factory breech plug was not holding up after about 100 shots using 110 to 120 grains of...
