The future of modern inline muzzleloading

Anyone that knows me by my posts here should be able to discern several things. I'm a veteran...I'm an experienced shooter...and I'm absolutely not afraid to stand up and fight for what I believe in. But that comes with a price...one I'm glad to pay. But this is a public forum...and with that...

    Cast bullets in a Paramount

The question is simple...has anyone played around with cast bullets in a Paramount? Maybe paper patched bullets? With the 1:22 twist rate it should be able to handle a relatively wide range of bullets. I'd be very interested in anyone's experience along these lines! Thanks!

    New smokeless build

I recently inherited a Remington 700 in .223. Matte black finish receiver and barrel, synthetic stock. I'm considering having it become the basis for a .40 cal smokeless muzzleloader with the Fury 250gr or 275gr .402 Star Tip 2P bullets in mind...but not limited to them. I'd like recommendations...

CVA Accura 45cal LR-X bore size

I'm curious as to whether the new CVA Acura LR-X is as overbore as the Paramount is. I don't see in any of the print about whether they are intended for the ELR bullets too. They make reference to high BC bullets but that's pretty vague. The rifle I'm looking at in particular is the Accura LR-X...

    Bore rider bullet sizing

My question is can a .458 diameter copper clad bullet be sized through a smooth sizing die down .004 down to .454? I have a CVA Paramount that I'm wanting to use bore rider bullets in it. I'd rather size down a larger bullet than knurl up an undersize bullet. I have some Fury .453 STB bullets...

    Knight ignition systems

This is a question for all you Knight fans out there...I'm aware of the ignition systems that Knight offers and what I want to know is if there is anyone out there that offers a large rifle primer conversion for them? I'm a Blackhorn shooter and I'm not a fan of the 209 primer as an ignition...

    Modern Muzzleloader stickers?

I just got an email from someone calling herself Angie M. asking for my mailing address for some stickers from the forum. Sounds fishy to me...anyone know anything about this?

    BH 209 by volume weight

I have a T/C Clear-U-View powder measure and I was weighing out some BH209 charges the other day and I had something odd happen. 100 grains by volume were weighing out between 81 and 81.2 grains by weight...??? I know the formula says 100 grains by volume should be around 70 by weight but that's...

    Optima/Accura forearm screw torque spec

I was wondering does anyone know if there is a torque spec is on the forearm screw of these weapons ? I ask because I have read that POI can be affected by how tight this screw is. I realize that this is a flat tip screwdriver headed screw and that it in of itself would indicate no torque spec...

Lehigh QRBP or CVA QRBP for BH209

I have a CVA Accura V2 PR and I added the CVA QRBP for BH 209 and then I came across this Lehigh unit with the Ventliner and my question is is the Lehigh unit superior enough to the CVA unit to warrant getting one? In my mind the only reason to have one of the new fangled inlines is to create...

    New member from Ohio

First of all thanks for the add...I've been in the shooting sports for over 50 years and while not new to muzzle loading, I'm definitely new to this new breed of 200+ yards effective muzzle loading. We have came a LONG way from the Hawken kit rifle I built back in 1977....So after many years...
