For the ones that have shot or used the Barnes TMZ ( boat Tail ) or the TEZ ( Flat Base ). which one do you like best an why ?

I never could get the boattailed TMZ to shoot well out of my Optima. The TEZ however will print groups around 1.25 inches very consistently using 100 gr of BH209. The TEZ are also easier to load in my rifle.

We use the T-EZ bullets with excellent results. Have never tried the T-MZs. Carlos of Ed's gun shop recommended the T-EZs and he is considered a BP guru. FWIW This is a recovered 250 gr T-EZ that took a buck at about 45 yards fired from a CVA MR using 2 pellets of T7. This bullet weighed 248 gr.

I have 3 CVAs. MR, Accura, and Optima. They all prefer the Flat Base TEZ over the Boattail TMZ. (250 grain).

The flat base bullets have always shot more accurately in our muzzleloaders.

Both preform great. My Remington loves the TEZ and my TC Triumph loves the TMZ . Each gun hates the other bullets so witch ever one is more accurate.
