I just read this article: Hamm's beer was voted one of top non-craft beers. Bud Light finished 13th.

Ya' know; drinking a light beer is like kissing your sister through a screen door, IMHO. If I want "water" I'll get water and not pay for it in a beer can. Also, IMHO, Budweiser brand beers are "skunky" beers. Never tried Hamms.

Well, of US beers, I do like Millers Draught and Corona. Here in Western Australia, it Coopers Sparkling Ale, Carlton Mid strength, 51 Lashes, Redback !! the last two are boutique beers here in WA. Coopers is a naturally brewed beer from my home state of South Australia. And Coopers home brew, both laager and Ale. I did drink some Coors the other day, it was a bit like water ?

just found out corona is gluten free, so now i will have one now and then. im still a dry red table wine guy, i consider it apart of my food diet.

I do have a couple of whiskeys I like, BigAl52. A good bourbon and a good rye are nice. I love a good red wine, some varietals better than others, and pair them with particular meals.

i saw on a documentry something funny. two white suprematist (sp)? hard core ones sitting on a street curb at a anti mexican rally eating each huge tacos and each had a bottle of mexican beer. something doesnt add up their. the documentary was about mexican food and the man who is hispanic and wrote a book about tacos, took this picture. welcome to america. sorry im off on a side track but we have a very rich local whites only guy here about 15 miles from my house. ive worked out at a local gym when he is their. he found out i have a little native american blood and he would say to me all the time hows the mutt doing meaning me. i just let him run his mouth, never was violent just told every one what he thought and to him im a mutt. he has been in prision a couple of time for machine gun violations. also was in jail for selling bad meat to a high school. the funny thing is he is of eastern european blood and all those eastern european people have a little asian blood.hes a mutt and dont even know it. sorry i went down a rabbit hole.

" the funny thing is he is of eastern european blood and all those eastern european people have a little asian blood.hes a mutt and dont even know it."

Thanks to Genghis Khan.

Remember, too, that most Europeans, Asians and a few others have from 3% to 5% Neanderthal blood. Now THAT'S a true "mutt"!

i wish i had some of the neanderthal muscle, those guys were built. their little finger was as thick as a modern mans thumb. saw a young man at the gym that was built like the neanderthals this morning. he had red hair like them also. he looked like a bear. your right, genghis khan left his blood line in a lot of people.

Yep, Neanderthals had extremely thick and heavy bones, much more so than than any Homo Sapien. They, in fact, resembled gorilla bones, though of course the gorilla is larger. When our ancestors mated with Neanderthal, the main thing that was permanently passed on through the genes was resistance against certain diseases.

Today, if a Neanderthal was walking down the street in modern dress, he/she might get a few glances; but otherwise they would blend in quite nicely. Their walking gate was somewhat different from ours and apparently they couldn't run; much like an elephant can walk very fast, but they can't run, either. On a lighter note can you imagine a male Homo Sapien being approached by a Neanderthal woman? She might not take "no" for an answer to her romantic desires. :Questuon:

It would be nice to have the powerful build but, alas, we didn't luck out. The Neanderthal had larger brains than the Homo Sapien and were apparently just as bright. They cared for their sick/injured, buried their dead and formed close family bonds. Gotta love those guys! :thumbs up:

I am pretty sure that I work with at least one neanderthal, he was a sparky and is pretty bright. His head in profile is dead on. I suspect most of us with the strong urge to hunt have more than a few of the genes. I include myself in this observation.
I do like Irish whiskey, Tullamore Dew and Jamiesons, also all the whiskeys from the Isle of Islay , love that strong smokey peat taste.

This guy reminds me of a Neanderthal .. USC's quarterback Sam Darnold who could be the #1 draft pick next month.

ive seen heavy brow ridges like his and a fuller skull on the back of the head on men now and then. i think your right, the neaderthal dna shows up now and then. neanderthals didnt have much of a neck and again the old saying, never fight a man with no neck.saw a eskimo man in the ship yards in seattle in the 60/s that looked like that. he had a huge barrel chest and no neck. he had just got out of prison for killing a man in a fight with his bare hands. no one messed with him. also when i worked as a supervisor in a mental facility we had a patient who was built like that of native american backgorund, he also had killed a man in a bar who came at him in a fight. he was very stubborn and to get him here or their when he had appointment we had 12 big male RN/s most of who were big german russians escort him and even with that we were nervous. i loved those big german russians when hell broke loose in that place. they were strong and afraid of nobody. one of my aides was a big german russian who stayed at my side when i was their. a patient tried to stab me once and that aide was on that person in a instant. then i joined in. i blocked the knife and my aide jumped in. that place was a zoo. if ever you think your not normal go to place like that and observe for a while. you will find out your very normal. i had secret holds i would use that were not taught in training their. but in a real fight and we had real fights their no one was me use them. get a hold of their little finger and bend, that gets their attention. ram your middle finger way up their nose and pull up ward. guys these people would try to kill us, dont judge me for self survival. i used the nose thing because ive use a nose twitch on horses, it works on people also. besides my experiences of hand to hand in the armed services and that mental hospital where fights were every day or at least once a week. even at my age if some one jumps me now he will be in for a surprise. fight real close and fight in a way he doesnt understand. if all else fails fight like a women, men cant figure that out. their i go again down a rabbit hole, but thats the old man in me.

I've only tried Scotch whiskey (a blended one) once or twice so have not developed a taste for it; maybe later. Being Deep South born and bred, bourbon is almost genetic with us. I mean, you can't really make a "mint julep" without bourbon. But I do have a taste for rye and really like it.

When you mentioned your "Neanderthal" acquaintance, I'm pretty sure what you really mean is he's a "Troglodyte"?

you may have the lable, but he was wide and strong

But he would still have bone structure within the Homo Sapien parameters. The skeleton/bone structure of a Neanderthal would be much more bigger, so to speak. A modern pro wrestler or Olympic level weightlifter would likely be a poor, weak runt in Neanderthal society; and would probably be protected by his "brothers". "There are photos available of Homo Sapien skeletons pictured next to Neanderthal skeletons. There it is easy to see the difference.
