not sure what the powder chamber is your referring to
the max from what I can tell is 160 grs.(manual)
you defiantly do not need that much powder mine shoots real well with a lot less

A powder chamber would be a counterbore in front of the breechplug to reduce the length of the powder column for heavier powder charges especially with the .40 bore. I don't believe they do. Just looking for confirmation.
