I cut the solo thimble down a tiny bit to accomodate the TC Power Rod T-handle. This gun is such a pleasure to carry and shoulders like a dream. Ive only shot it once since having the muzzle recrowned and dont really have a load that Ill hunt with yet. I just got som Northern Precisions and some Sub-X 395 s that i want to try out in it.
Sounds like you took the QLA off and are shooting bullet to bore?

Yes, well no… i cut off 5-6” of barrel just to make it 21”. I also wanted to make a full form sizer and this barrel is not perfect. So it was/is a perfect candidate for customizing. Probably will try to Cerakote or powder coat it someday.

They don't have to be pretty!
My laminated Omega, also have a full camo version that my son has used since he was a kid, we’ve taken a pile of eastern shore VA bucks w them. Pic from 1st weekend this year, 78 degrees, had a tight shot and needed to thread a needle, it was up to the task.

I need to pick one of these up sometime. Chop the QLA off and have a handy carbine sledge hammer.
