Make sure that the firing pin bushing is flush with the receiver face with NO indentation. You may want to try the rubber O-Ring in the primer pocket if your fired primers are less than squeaky clean. Fired primer & these are the O-Rings. https://www.mcmaster.com/9262k611

Contact CVA about it . They might invite you to return it for tuning.

You are absolutely correct. I would bet that the primer bushing is backed out to far. It does need to be flush with the receiver. I agree 110% that is his problem.

On my new Accura the headspace is so close that, when fired, the primers bulge enough to catch in the pin bushing. A second pull of the trigger is all it takes to release it. The bushing is clean, tight, and flush with the face. This happens to the DIS LRMPs on moderate and heavy loads. Shimming mine would make the bushing stick out past the surface. The lrmp has a perfect impression of the slot in the bushing. When i use less than 85grV it doesn't happen.
