Newbie just bought an Encore and have a load/bullet ?

This is my first post and I am glad I have found this site. It has given me alot of information! I bought an encore and want to start getting the right gear!

First of all I bought 777 pellets and Hornady SST 250gr bullets from my research on here. Hope that was a good choice!

My first question is are the 'Lock and Loads' worth the money?

I assume with 777 pellets you trim them for 2 pellets.

Your choice of sst's and 777 are sound ones.The lock and load are'nt any more than a gimmick to sell a product.Look under Inlines for loggy's and other's info on loads for encore,there's a lot of good info there.

Dont be afraid to try the 200grn Shockwaves. They are extremely accurate in my Encore.

Also, try 3 pellets instead of 2 to see how your gun groups with the hotter load. To my suprise, my encore absolutely loves 250 grain shockwaves ontop of 3 triple 7 pellets. I'm trying for sub moa groups, but I keep screwing up It will definitely be my hunting load this season. A bit more recoil, but not as fierce as I first thought.
