Shooting sabotless....bullet recommendations.

Another question for the group........use a wad or no wad?

I use a poly wad .03 thickness.

I’ve had very good luck with a Fury 275. This is my Mountaineer 45 1-20. Sized at .4505 I can add just a light Knurl and set it on top of a wad with 120 to 130 g of Blackhorn by volume

PLEASE NOTE.....130 grains is not a recommended or an approved load

Veggie wad .060" thickness. I use both veggie and wool.

I mainly use 1/8" wool wads but some times a .030 veggie wad.

I normally shoot my own cast lead bullets. My personal faves are Lyman 457122 (330 Gould) and Accurate 45-340i(IdahoLewis design) and a Lyman 2640193 (45/70 405gr) is another good one but it kicks a bit more and eats up lead quicker.
