I'm getting close to completing my swede built on a savage action. Any one care to share some modern load data, I'm looking to load for the heavier projectiles. And if any one has some brass they want to part with, I picked up some lapua brass but still looking. Thanks

I have a Tikka in 6.5x55. one load is 50 grns RL 26, Hornady 147 ELD, Lapua brass, fed 210m primer. Shoots tiny groups at 2775 fps.

Thank you for the info, I have that powder and primers on hand. Will give it a go

I/we have two 6.5 Swedes that I load for. One is an older Ljungman mil-surp, semi-auto. The other is a modern CZ bolt gun, model 557.

I keep things modest for the milsurp, and just using up some old compatible powder for the CZ. I see many like slower powders with the 6.5 x 55. My main bullet has been the 129 grain Hornady. I most of my cases have been new Hornady. I bought a box of 20 rounds from a gunshow, ended up breaking them down and dumping the powder. I did reuse some of the bullets, the cases were even marginal.
