Not having a good week here.
I've been pretty sick lately, suffering from diverticulitis. Earlier this week, my wife brought me to the ER. They ran some tests and found elevated levels of enzymes, which they thought was caused by a heart attack.
I was transported by ambulance to a larger hospital in Denison, Texas for evaluation and more testing.
The cardiac doctor determined that the stress on my body from the infection was the cause and my heart is strong, so no worries there.
I was in the hospital for a few days and got discharged late yesterday afternoon.
I'm on antibiotics now and have an appointment next week with a gastro intestinal specialist. I'm probably looking at surgery in the near future.
I'm glad that I got out hunting for a little while on opening day, as it looks like my deer season might be canceled for the rest of the year, maybe? I'll see how I'm doing.
I think I could still hit the range once in a while though, hell I ain't dead yet, Lol.

I've done two bouts of that stuff so I can understand where you've been. Good to see you home. Now let's hope that you are not going to require surgery. As others have suggested, take care of you then take care of the deer.

Damn Jim, you all jut can't get a break this year but glad to hear it's not your heart! Do what the docs tell you so you can get back to hunting and shooting when they say you can. Praying you don't need surgery. Keep posting and let us know how you are doing.

sorry to hear about your health issues . keep on keeping on dude . hoping for the best for you !

Old age isn't for the weak.

IIRC it was around 2010 that I had the surgery and 12" of large intestine was removed. I had to stay in the hospital 3 days and other than a couple weeks of healing up, the surgery eliminated all the problems. At least in the intestines.
Take care of yourself first.........

Jim, you are a tough old bird. Knowing you, you’ll be out hunting before you know it.

Good luck and we don’t want to hear anything else except you are feeling and doing great!
