I am heading out to pull trail cams this weekend and will be doing just that.

Here in Ne Ohio, most of the bucks are still carrying that I’ve seen; granted we’ve had an extremely mild winter so far. We had a group of six in the yard a few nights ago that all still had full racks. There are two bucks that have shed out, but they both have visible injuries, which I’m guessing is the reason they shed out early (3-4+ weeks ago). But I’m definitely ready to do some shed hunting when the time comes!

Here in NW Ohio I generally do not check until March. Also I do not want to stress the deer in late winter.

They've been looking for sheds for a couple weeks now here in SE Minnesota. The snow cover here has really sunk with some recent warm and lack of precip, but the precip part of that I think will change on Sunday as they're forecast "significant" snowfall totals.

One thing is for sure its good scouting evidence with a bonus.....
