I would like to see what your favorite bullet weight is for hunting, one that has given you success with excellent results. Just the weight.

If you want to share more info than just the bullet weight, add it. I'm ONLY interested in the weight!

For deer, in a .45/40 sabot/bullet I like fast & flat shooting. I primarily use 220gr .40 cast bullets, but any good performing bullet from 200gr-250gr is where I like to be. With a .50 1:28 250gr-300gr bullets.

In a .50 I use 250’s and in a .45 I like 195’s. The heavy lead thing doesn’t interest me.
And the opposite here. My hunting for whitetails is in heavy brush creek bottoms.

Currently shooting a PRB in .54 so 220sh??

270 grain in my Optima but wanting to toy with some 420 No Excuses.

My sizing pack came in today!!

50cal with 50x45 sabots 225gr to 275gr only because that is what shoots best in my slower 1-32 twist Douglas barrel. If it aint 50x45 i dont shoot them anymore. Not a fan of 50x44 and dont like 50x40 at all.

45cal
350-488gr lead conicals
Sabots, no less than 220gr and preferably 240-260gr 40cal bullets.
Saboltess jacketed 275gr to 300gr sized to fit the lands for a snug fit on clean bore but not so tight they wont load on a fouled bore.
