They are cleaned out..............
I appreciate what you're saying. I mostly shoot traditional anyway. I've got about 20 pounds of 2f and 3f real black powder on hand, so I'm good there. Last weekend I shot my new Optima rifle for the first time and it worked fine with the Triple 7, so I'll have to stick with that.Like everything these days. I put over $29 in my mower gas can this week.
But I agree, if you need/want it - you better buy it while you can. LGB
I'm not sure, but aren't they both owned by Hogdon? If so, they clean up either way.I agree. I need to use it for a hunt this fall. Don’t want to change now when our guns are set up for it. That and it’s too dam# hot to shoot much before fall.
After that, will prob go back to 777. They may make more money from these changes in the sort term, but I suspect it will hurt their sales in the long run.
I don't get it either. Another example; I've been looking for some 280 Remington ammunition. Nobody has any for months. Yesterday I was checking around online and found two different places that has in stock. What I don’t understand about the supply chain is how a shipment of powder suddenly shows up at one retailer? Did they just find it sitting in their warehouse? Did the manufacture just send out a shipment and does that mean that it can be expected to show up other places?
280Rem on shelves?? Forget it, you're lucky if you can find 30-30 ammo. I saw a box of Remington 280Rem 140gr at a flea market last weekend. The guy wanted $65 for the box.I don't get it either. IMO what is happening is the distributors, the "middle men", the one's making all the money, have either been holding it to gouge or, someone found it in the distribution center. What I don’t understand about the supply chain is how a shipment of powder suddenly shows up at one retailer? Midway USA shows 280 Remington in stock, (yesterday).280Rem on shelves?? Forget it, you're lucky if you can find 30-30 ammo. I saw a box of Remington 280Rem 140gr at a flea market last weekend. The guy wanted $65 for the box.
I have about a full box of Hornady 139gr SST bullets and a couple hundred primers. Now all I have to do is find a lb of H4831SC and I'll be able to reload some. I love my 280Rem!
I have 10 bottles showing up Monday and hope they're all 10oz.This is interesting! The Blackhorn I just received from Midsouth is 10 oz and lot 41. I even weighed each bottle - 12.4 oz - same as my other lot 41 bottles. Go figure.

In a way, I wish it was a different lot number other than 41. We know its slower than the other lots.Lot 41 has been around awhile, so it’s not a new lot. Did it just get bottled and put into distribution? I wish I better understood the process. In any case, mines supposed to arrive today and I’m happy to have it.
